Description:

Social gatherings will happen during major IE/OR conference throughout the year. We plan to at least have one gathering at INFORMS Annual Meetings in fall and one during the IIE Conference in Spring. The intent is to have a chance to meet Iranian students, faculty and professionals as well as providing support to departments of IE/OR in Iranian Universities. During these events ISI officers lead a semi-formal meeting to announce news, upcoming events and help needed, gather ideas and feedback for ISI and possibly brainstorm on potential issues. Social events are usually followed by an informal dinner at a nearby restaurant so that the members find a chance to mingle and network.
