We held our first members meeting during the INFORMS Conference in Seattle, WA on 11/05/2007. We had a good turn out and great discussions followed by a dinner at Cheescake Factory. The main issues discussed are as follow:

• Introduction to ISI - IEOR including mission, board members, planned activities and outreach,

• Suggestions to help Iranian students currently in Iran:

  • Donation of journals to university libraries,

  • Co-advising PhD students in Iran to enhance quality of PhD programs at Iranian universities,

  • Delivering lectures/talks while traveling in Iran,

• Introduction of JISE and call for papers/referees.
